front flower bed

I love Summertime!
Working in my garden makes me so happy.
I took some pics to show you my front flowerbed.
I have worked on this flower bed for 2 years now.
The heirloom Hollyhocks bloomed this year,
the Mints are spreading, and the Hostas I transplanted all look great.
I am so proud of myself!!

CHELSEA SOUNDS AND SIGHTS 7/9/09

Downtown Chelsea, with the newly rebuilt clock tower!

We had so much fun walking around Chelsea with Papa Roger and Gramma Lois. We got ice cream, and listened to music. Chelsea has some really cool sculptures that were installed recently. ~Reminded me that I want to learn how to weld.

Hashanna and I resting while the other kids got balloons

Noe got a lovely balloon crown...

Kai decided to fish for a sister...

I love my hunny...

We went to a store called the potting shed, and they have so many cute things. Tons of vintage items, and then some new stuff too from local artists and crafts people. We got Jaden some cute lil barrettes that look like dragonflies. It was a beautiful night to be out.

4th of July in Manistee

So the whole family went camping up in Mainstee for the 4th of July. It was so much fun! We went for walks, had campfires and made smores, ate yummy bbq...

What was really great about the weekend was that we had a surprise 60th birthday party for my mom!
She was so surprised!
We also sang to my sister and cousin Tina.
What a great time!

We saw a bald eagle flying overhead our last night there, and it made me feel so grateful to have such an amazing and wonderful family to spend time with.

The kids all played together and slept in a tent. They were so dirty and exhausted by the time we went home! They said it was the best vacation EVER!

Jaden does the army crawl

This kid amazes me! She pushes herself around and rolls over both ways to get to where she wants to be (off her blankie)... She cracks me up.
